Congratulations to Mr Foo Hee Kiang (Class of 1987) for receiving the prestigious Nanyang Alumni Service Award!​

For his dedicated service and contributions to the School of Civil and Structural Engineering (CSE), today known as the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Foo Hee Kiang with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Mr Foo chaired the Organising Committee for the CSE Class of 1987 30th Anniversary Reunion Dinner in 2017. The successful event was attended by over 100 alumni, former and current staff, and helped raise more than S$120,000 for the CSE Class of 1987 Bursary Fund. He was also the Chairman of the 10th Anniversary Reunion in 1997.

He served as Chairman of the CEE’s Programme Advisory Committee from 2010 to 2011, helping ensure that the School’s curriculum remained relevant to industry needs.

In addition, as a former member of the College of Engineering Visiting Committee, Mr Foo has helped advise the University on the College’s future growth and development.

Mr Foo is currently the Advisor to the Group CEO and Chairman of Hyflux Ltd. He has been with the company since 1998 and contributed significantly to its growth from a small enterprise to a global environmental solutions provider. He has played a key role in many facets of the company’s business, including in marketing and sales, engineering, operations, as well as its expansion and entry into the Middle East and North Africa market.
