Pavitraa Sundram
Biographical Profile
Since earning her psychology degree, Pavitraa has engaged in projects focused on the cognitive development of children with special needs, including those with neurodivergence and learning disorders. She finds joy working in both research and practice with children, contributing to a deeper understanding of child development while identifying strategies to support them during their crucial developmental years, particularly in academic and socio-emotional areas.
Pavitraa has gained invaluable experience teaching in special needs schools and enrichment programs. She was previously affiliated with the Centre for Research in Child Development at NIE. Currently, she serves as a Research Assistant at CRADLE@NTU, where she is involved in a project utilizing fNIRS to investigate variations in brain activation in children facing learning difficulties.
