Introduction

Infrastructure Systems Cluster (ISC) conducts fundamental and applied research led by real needs of sustainable urban infrastructure systems, and translates the research findings as policies, programmes and countermeasures. Recent R&D concentrations are primarily in land, maritime and aviation infrastructure and facility systems.

ISC’s research studies include topics on: green & sustainable urban mobility (energy efficiency, air quality, noise, eco-driving/navigation); transportation safety engineering & practices; driver & traveller behaviours; pedestrian safety & accessibility; bicycle transport & facilities; design parameters for transport infrastructure; traffic management & control tools; environmental impact of transportation; public transport; electric vehicle (EV), automated vehicles (AT) and connected vehicle (CV); urban and last-mile logistics.
