Welcome to Electromagnetic Effects Research Laboratory (EMERL)

Electromagnetic Effects Research Laboratory (EMERL) was established in joint partnership with DSO National Laboratories in 2007 to spearhead research in designing electronic devices and sub-systems for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance, an area vital to ensure reliable operation of a complex system with multiples subsystems.

With the support of advanced facilities, EMERL has undertaken numerous research projects with funding support from government agencies and industries. The research projects have resulted in innovative and cost-effective designs for civilian as well as military EMC requirements. As modern electronic devices operate at much lower power, it becomes increasingly important for researchers to consider EMC at the early stage of design to enhance hardware fidelity.
