Service Week Terms & Conditions

By registering as a volunteer for any one or more activities that are organised as part of NTU volunteering activities (including NTU Service Week), I give consent to NTU and to Zeles Network Ltd (NTU’s third party contractor for volunteer management) to:

  1. collect, use, disclose and process my personal data for administration and management purposes relating to my registration and/or participation in NTU Service Week activities.
  2. carry out data analysis and to study the profile of participants that have attended NTU organised or initiated volunteer activities for planning for future volunteer activities.
  3. the use of third parties, whether located within or outside of Singapore, to collect, use or disclose my personal data for the above purposes.

Volunteer points: With contribution from a donor, all points accumulated from this initiative will automatically be donated to the NTU Priorities Fund for any use that may be identified by NTU at its sole discretion, including without limitation, to support financially disadvantaged students and bridge the digital divide. For the avoidance of doubt, you shall not redeem the said points for any items under the My Rewards tab nor donate the points to any other organisation.

Zeles is a third-party mobile app, owned and operated by an independent party over which NTU has no control over ("Zeles App"). Any link you take on or from the Zeles App will be at your own risk. Your use of the service and material on the Zeles App will be governed by the terms of the Zeles App, including those relating to confidentiality, data privacy and security. Any personal data or information which you provide to the Zeles App will be governed by its privacy policy over which NTU has no control over. 

NTU gives no warranty and accepts no responsibility or liability for the accuracy, or the completeness of the information and materials contained in the Zeles App. Under no circumstances will NTU be held responsible or liable in any way for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities whatsoever (including, without limitation, any direct or indirect damages for loss of profits, business interruption or loss of information) resulting or arising directly or indirectly from your use of or inability to use the Zeles App or any sites or services linked to it, or from your reliance on the information and material on the Zeles App, even if NTU has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance.

Applicable for NTU alumni only: NTU’s alumni are an integral part of the NTU community, and NTU would like to maintain an enriching lifelong relationship with you. NTU will collect, use, disclose and/or process your personal data for the following purposes: facilitating, processing, dealing with managing and/or maintaining your alumnus relationship with NTU including (1) communicating to you promotions, benefits and services available to alumni; (2) organising, facilitating and communicating to you alumni events and programmes, courses or other activities that may involve academic schools/departments and administrative units of NTU; (3) providing you with NTU publications; (4) communicating to you and providing you information, materials and/or documents relating to activities, events, products and/or services administered, provided, managed, conducted and/or promoted by NTU or third parties that are for your benefit as an alumnus of NTU; (5) to understand and study the profile of its alumni community for NTU’s policymaking and planning; and (6) To involve alumni in NTU’s continual development and progress through the engagement of voluntary services and giving back to their alma mater.
