Our Dual Campus

Novena Campus

Our Novena Campus is situated close to LKCMedicine’s partner teaching hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, to facilitate students’ seamless integration into clinical settings.

The 20-storey Clinical Sciences Building (CSB) offers LKCMedicine students state-of-the-art learning spaces, including a Learning Studio, custom built to support the School’s IT-enhanced Team-Based Learning (TBL) approach; the Anatomy Learning Centre, which consists of a cluster of 11 alcoves distributed around a central teaching core; and the Centre for Clinical Simulation, which consists of a practical skills lab, simulated four-bed ward, which can be configured to a range of clinical settings, and a Communication Suite with 10-paired consultation rooms, so that students can practise their skills in a realistic and safe environment.

The CSB is also home to LKCMedicine researchers, with the laboratories interconnected through collaborative spaces.

CSB is not just a space to learn and work; the entire eighth floor is dedicated to recreational and sporting facilities. Staff and students can work out in the gym, dance hall or practise their harmonies in the music room. Just for students, there’s also a dedicated student lounge, medical society room as well as a House Room for each of the School’s five student houses.
On the top floor of the CSB, the Medical Library boasts not only magnificent views over the city but also unique collections on Medical Humanities, Medical Art Prints and Singapore Doctors. There is a Café and spaces that are designed for people to flow and mingle, enabling users to fully engage with the physical spaces and their intellectual pursuits seamlessly.

At the heart of the Novena Campus is our headquarters (HQ), a three-storey heritage building built in 1924 as a hostel for senior medical students. During its 90-year history, it was also home to nurses and hospital administrators before closing its doors in 1999. After more than a decade of disuse, the building was carefully restored, preserving more than 15 architectural features of the Palladian-style building. The Novena Campus will also be a cornerstone of the 2030 Novena HealthCity master plan, with the School forming the heart of the education hub.
