Health & Safety
Welcome to the Health & Safety page of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine). The School aims to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all our students, staff and visitors to our premises. Safety and health are fundamental facets of our daily activities. We are committed to ensuring resources and training are in place to safeguard the health and safety of all.
Safety is a shared responsibility, and each of us at LKCMedicine has a part to play. Our students, staff and faculty’s accountability on safety and health is important in contributing to zero accidents, safeguarding the environment, protecting our employees, students and visitors to the School and the University as a whole, from harm. That is our social responsibility and we believe this will earn the confidence of staff, students and society. We rely on everyone's initiative, cooperation and active participation to adopt and maintain safe working practices and procedures as follows:
- Comply with all relevant environmental, health and safety laws, legal regulations and codes of practice that are implemented by the University
- Report, investigate and learn from previous health and safety incidents to prevent recurrence
- Regular review of the risk assessments and standard operating procedures to minimise hazards and risks
- Maintain proper and safe laboratory working practices
A safe today is a safe tomorrow.
Let us work together to create a healthier and safer working environment within the School.
