Dr Ng, MBBS (Singapore), MMED (Internal Medicine), FRCP (Edinburgh), FAMS, received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2006. He completed his training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2015 and was awarded the Ministry of Health (MOH) Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award to pursue advanced endoscopy subspecialty training at Prince of Wales Hospital and Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Currently, Dr Ng serves as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, part of the National Healthcare Group (NHG). He is also the Deputy Director of Endoscopy at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Previously, Dr Ng held the position of NHG Internal Medicine Programme Director, overseeing a programme with more than 100 residents. He now participates in the Clinical Competency Committee, aiding in progression decisions for Gastroenterology Senior Residents, PGY1s, and Advanced Practice Nurse Trainees. In addition, he is a member of the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) responsible for the national Gastroenterology training in Singapore and serves on the Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST) Panel of Auditors. Dr Ng is an Executive Committee member of the Gastroenterology Society of Singapore (GESS) and the Honorary Secretary for the College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

His contributions have been recognised with the NHG Education Leaders Award and the TTSH Silver Staff Excellence Award.
