First LKCMedicine Office of Research – NMRC Executive Director Roundtable Discussion

On 8 January 2025, the LKCMedicine Office of Research hosted a full-house roundtable discussion at the Novena HQ Seminar Room. The roundtable discussion featured NMRC Executive Director, Prof Tan Say Beng, who provided an overview of Singapore’s Research, Innovation, and Enterprise (RIE) ecosystem and highlighted NMRC’s strategic priorities and funding opportunities.

The roundtable began with a welcome address by Vice-Dean (Research), Assoc Prof Sanjay Haresh Chotirmall, setting the tone for an engaging session. A dynamic panel discussion, moderated by Assoc Profs Sunny Wong and Christine Cheung, included insights from Prof Tan and NMRC representatives, Ms Carol Tan, Mr Terence Goh, and Ms Sharon Sim.

Attendees, including faculty and staff, actively participated in the Q&A session, gaining valuable perspectives on advancing biomedical research. The event concluded with a networking lunch, fostering connections and collaborations that align with NMRC’s mission to drive impactful research outcomes for Singapore.
