ORTDS serves as NTU’s main interaction point with local agencies such as MINDEF, MHA, HTX and CSA, working closely with NTU to strategically identify future critical research areas, capabilities and educational opportunities.

In recent times, technology is developing rapidly, and with it comes co-evolution of security challenges. ORTDS works with the entire NTU network for innovative and disruptive Defence & Security (D&S) research, such as hosting interdisciplinary D&S research programmes.

The office intends to drive innovative research on disruptive technologies, and aims to uncover solutions when vulnerabilities becomes apparent. Defence & Security research is often complex, but by working closely with local agencies and leveraging on NTU's network and capabilities, we envision to support the needs through synergistic collaborations.
