The SAF-NTU Academy (SNA) was established in May 2010 as part of the strategic partnership between the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to support the continuing education of SAF leaders.

The Academy seeks to create and sustain the academic capacity and knowledge needed to equip military leaders with relevant professional military knowledge using multidisciplinary approaches.  This capability is built up and achieved through the strong support of affiliated faculty members from the NTU Schools, and also through close workings with the SAF on the professional military education and training requirements.  

The SAF-NTU programmes are designed to be flexible and yet compact in support of the SAF’s overall nurturing effort to develop its leaders professionally and cognitively to meet operational demands, and to fulfill career development needs and personal aspirations.   The programmes are aligned with the SAF Continuing Education Framework in providing SAF leaders with opportunities to receive high quality professional military education and training at strategic junctures of their military careers.
