Military Studies and Geopolitics Programme
The Military Studies and Geopolitics Programme concerns the delivery of military studies and regional geopolitics lessons to SAF leaders as part of their professional military education and training. The lessons are conducted by the academic faculty members of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at NTU. They are delivered to SAF leaders, which include junior and mid-career Officers, Warrant Officers, Military Experts and Officer Cadets from the Army, Navy and Air Force attending their military courses at the various SAF schools such as the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College (GKS CSC), the SAF Advanced Schools (SAS), the SAFWOS Leadership School and the Officer Cadet School (OCS). The lessons in the programme are pegged at the graduate or non-graduate level in accordance with the military course involved, for example, Master’s level for the Command and Staff Course at GKS CSC, Bachelor’s Degree level for the Tri-Service Warfighter Course (TSWC) at SAS, and GCE “A” level for the Officer Cadet Course at OCS. The SAF-NTU Academy provides management support for the programme in terms of the planning and projection, administration and coordination, and auditing and quality control of the lesson delivery.
