Riding the Wave of Change:Charting Singapore’s Economic Future in a Dynamic World

The MTI Economic Dialogue, established in 2008, offers a platform for students to engage with significant economic issues in Singapore and explore the impact of Economics on policymaking. In 2023, Minister for Trade and Industry Mr. Gan Kim Yong delivered a keynote address on "Riding the Wave of Change: Charting Singapore’s Economic Future in a Dynamic World."

Outstanding economics students from various universities were honoured with the MTI-Economist Service Academic Awards, including the MTI Best Thesis Award for exceptional economics theses and the MTI Book Prize for the top third-year economics student. Additionally, deserving students pursuing undergraduate economics studies received the Economist Service (ES) Scholarship, provided by MTI, to support their academic pursuits.
