Four undergraduates were on Tuesday awarded the $12,000 Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Scholarship For Persons With Disabilities, which recognises outstanding students with special needs. Mr Ng, a final-year history and public policy student, said others shunned him in primary and secondary school. He took up a psychology diploma in polytechnic to understand human behaviour. Mr Lim, a third-year accountancy student, was born blind in one eye. He has limited peripheral vision and depth of perception. He hopes to become a manager in an accountancy firm, where he wants to implement policies to help people with disabilities.
