Singapore Model Parliament (SMP)
In October 2023, the Singapore Model Parliament (SMP), a flagship youth program organized by REACH, offered participants a unique opportunity to delve into Singapore's policymaking process and actively engage in parliamentary debates on national issues. Over three days, the program featured workshops focused on policymaking, interactive dialogues with political officeholders, and an exhilarating mock parliamentary debate competition.
Notably, individuals such as Dason Yeo Boon Xuan (ECPP Double major), Lee Kia En (Psychology major), and Tay Hye Der, Heather (PPGA), representing SSS@NTU, showcased their impressive debating skills as part of six-member teams comprising students with diverse majors.
Congratulations to these exceptional individuals from the NTU School of Social Sciences for their remarkable contributions to the Singapore Model Parliament!
