Director's Message

Daniel Lee
Welcome to the Carbon Markets Academy of Singapore (CMAS)! At CMAS, we believe that carbon markets play an important role in addressing climate change, from accurately pricing carbon emissions to creating incentives that direct climate finance to impactful initiatives and regions.

Effectively achieving these goals requires collaboration among diverse stakeholders and a broader talent pool beyond the current experts in the field.

Our mission is twofold: first, to build a robust talent pipeline equipped with essential knowledge and practical skills to navigate the complexities of the carbon market, supporting the sector’s needs. Second, to promote thought leadership and the sharing of best practices to advance conversations towards improved policy outcomes, industry standards, and greater societal buy-in.

We invite you to join us in striving toward these goals, and I look forward to working with our partners and programme participants on this journey.

Assoc Prof Daniel Lee

Director, Carbon Markets Academy of Singapore
College of Business (NBS)
