For Undergraduates
EEE/IEM Excellence Awards
We wish to recognise students with outstanding achievements in extra-curricular activities and excellence in academic performance during their study for the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic)/(Information Engineering & Media) Degree programme, based on the following criteria:
- Good academic performance with a CGPA of 4.0 and above
- Leadership qualities with high level of participation in extracurricular activities, including community service
Each recipient will receive S$500 Cash with a Certificate signed by the Chair of EEE.
IEEE Control Systems Chapter (Singapore) Prize
This award is endowed by IEEE Control Systems Chapter (Singapore), and is awarded to the best final year student with highest aggregate marks in any three prescribed electives for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering): EE4207 Control Engineering Design EE4208 Intelligent Systems Design IE4476 Image Processing EE4268 Robotics & Automation EE4273 Digital Control Systems EE4285 Computational Intelligence IE4483 Artificial Intelligence & Data Mining.
IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Singapore Chapter Undergraduate Student Prize
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Singapore Chapter Undergraduate book prize is awarded to a graduating student with the best mark in 'EE3019: Integrated Electronics' in Year 3 for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)
Lucent GSP Book Prize
The Lucent GSP Book Prize is awarded to a final year student who is best in 'IE4155 Wireless Communication & Mobile Networks' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering).
Motorola Book Prize
The Motorola Book Prize is awarded to a final year student who is best in 'EE4343 Radio Frequency Circuits' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering).
NTU Class of 1985 Cash Prize Award
The NTU Class of 1985 Cash Prize Award is awarded to a student who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) with the highest aggregate marks in 'HW0288 Engineering Communication' and 'EG1001 Engineers in Society' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering).
ST Engineering Book Prize
The ST Engineering Electronics Book Prize is awarded to an outstanding final year student who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) with highest aggregate marks in 'IE3102 Microprocessors' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering).
The IEEE Photonics Society S'pore Chapter & the Optical Society (OSA) Singapore Section Book Prize
The IEEE Photonics Society Singapore Chapter & the Optical Society (OSA) Singapore Section Book Prize is awarded to a final year student who has achieved the highest marks in 'IE4110 Optical Communication System Design' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering).

For Postgraduates (Masters by coursework)
Global Excellence Award / Global Merit Award
The EEE Global Merit and Global Excellence Awards recognise and support MSc freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements along with a strong passion for building a career in EEE-related fields.
Each recipient will receive a cash grant of S$10,000 (Global Excellence Award) / $5,000 (Global Merit Award) to help cover academic related expenses, subject to approval by the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
MSc Service Recognition Awards
The MSc Service Recognition Award encourages MSc students to actively engage in MSc student activities and recognises those who have shown exceptional dedication, leadership, and contributions to the Lifelong Learning @EEE club and MSc community.
Each recipient will receive a cash award of S$200, along with a Certificate of Service Recognition signed by the Chair of EEE.
Postgraduate Teaching Assistant Scheme (PTAS)
Selected MSc students are engaged to support undergraduate teaching by grading assignments, updating course materials, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to software development or data analysis. They also assist the school in organising activities to enhance the overall MSc student experience and student life.
Each student may receive up to S$20,000 per year.
EEE Excellence and Achievement Awards
The EEE Excellence Award recognises students who have made outstanding contributions to extra-curricular activities, leaving a lasting impact to the community during their course of study in the MSc studies.
The EEE Achievement Award honours students for their exceptional academic performance in their MSc studies.
Each recipient will receive a cash award of S$500 along with a Certificate signed by the Chair of EEE.
IEEE Photonics Society Singapore Chapter & The Optical Society (OSA) Singapore Section Academic Excellence Award
The Prize (cash award) is awarded to the student with the highest mark in the course EE6122 (Optical Fibre Communications).
Micron Gold Medal
The medal is awarded to the best graduating student with highest aggregate marks in the degree of Master of Science (Electronics) and who has completed the programme within 2 years.
Texas Instruments Book Prize
The book prize (cash award) is awarded to the student with the highest mark in the course EE6402 (Real-time DSP Design and Applications).

For Postgraduates (PhD, and Masters by research)
Postgraduate Teaching Assistant Scheme (PTAS) (M.Eng. and Ph.D.)
Selected students will be awarded up to S$20,000 a year. They are engaged to support Undergraduate teaching/lab supervision/research, laboratory work including data analysis and experiments, and assist the school in organizing various activities to enhance
student life and experiences.
Postgraduate Tutorship Scheme (PTS) (Ph.D.)
PTS is co-funded by the supervisor (through his/her research grant) and the school of EEE. PTS covers the student’s annual tuition fees and PTS student will be engaged by supervisor, for example, under the Work Study Scheme (WSS) on paid work assignment.
Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship (Ph.D.)
The Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship (NPGS) is a competitive and prestigious scholarship scheme designed to encourage outstanding graduates or final-year students to take their first step towards a leading research career by studying for a full
time PhD at NTU.

The NTU Research Scholarship is awarded to outstanding graduate students for research.
Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) (Ph.D.)
The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Singapore University
of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the Singapore Management University (SMU).
