Project Group - WonderJet
WonderJet is a public toilet seat cleaning device which cleans the seat within 30 seconds by using high velocity jets of water and disinfectant mixture.
We discovered through our survey that most people are unsatisfied with the cleanliness of public toilet seats. There are also rising concerns of hygiene in public spaces, especially during the current pandemic. Our product aims to serve the general public, improving their user experience with public toilets. We are marketing towards public toilet management teams, as we believe cleanliness of public toilets is a key area where businesses can leave good impressions on their customers.
Compared to our competitors, WonderJet’s unique design allows for simple installation as it is attachable to most existing toilets. It is simple to maintain and clean as it has fewer parts, most of which are easily replaceable. It is also effective in cleaning as the sprinkler enables water jets to cover the entire surface of the seat. Apart from removing visible stains, the disinfectant will also kill germs.

“I am very glad and honored to have such an opportunity to share my experience with the NTU students and guide them in this product design and development course. The dynamics of the idea generation from the team is impressive with expertise from various areas, such as electrical, mechanical, and materials. Although the entire process might not be as smooth as we anticipated, I am pretty glad that the team managed to strive through it and successfully completed the concept design and prototyping. Definitely it was a great mutual learning experience for all of us. And I am glad that I am part of this exciting and fruitful journey.
