Loop is a 4.5-metre-tall sculptural installation featuring 1,200 butterflies arranged in a near-invisible Möbius loop – a shape symbolising infinity. The butterflies flutter with the wind, creating a constantly shifting, eye-catching display powered entirely by nature. Loop is inspired by the flowing design of NTU’s Learning Hub The Arc, combining architecture, science, and the natural beauty of the campus into a single, eco-friendly work of art.

The sculpture was unveiled on 15 August 2019 and along with an accompanying exhibition A Convergence of Art and Science, providing a glimpse of Loop's project development.
