The Centre for Biomedical Informatics is part of the Data Science cross-cutting research theme within the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) and aims to provide cutting-edge data analytics to the rest of the research themes within LKCMedicine as well as the school's clinical partners and the broader research ecosystem.
The centre aims to fulfil this objective by offering services as well as being involved in collaborative grants. Given the diversity of research problems, the team behind the centre comprises a group of individuals with diverse backgrounds to provide a holistic analytical perspective. In addition to expertise within the centre, the centre will also leverage NTU's vibrant research community to provide specialised expertise.
In terms of computing infrastructure, the centre will leverage its own infrastructure located at the NTU High Performance Computing Centre as well as national initiatives such as the National Supercomputer Centre to provide state-of-the-art computing infrastructure to accelerate biological research.
