Skin Diseases & Wound Repair
Director: Maurice van STEENSEL
Co-Director: TEY Hong Liang
As the largest organ of the human body, and the most important barrier between us and the elements, the skin is an important subject of research for LKCMedicine. Together with Clinicians at the National Skin Centre and Scientists from the Skin Research Institute of Singapore, we are looking into skin conditions prevalent in Asia. These include atopic dermatitis, pigmentary disorders, acne, and chronic wounds. The Skin Diseases Programme is highly translational and focuses on inter-disciplinary research so as to achieve better health outcomes. We work with international collaborators and industry to bring our innovations to the people who need them, patients and consumers alike.
