Profile
Ms Yap Chin-Fang is a Teaching Fellow at the Learning Sciences and Assessment (LSA) Department at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NIE NTU, Singapore). She teaches pre-service and in-service courses on pedagogical practices, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration and classroom management. Prior to joining NIE NTU, Singapore, she has served as Head of Department (Economics) at a junior college, and as Senior Curriculum Resource Development Officer with the Humanities Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division (CPDD), MOE. She was overall-in-charge of Student Learning Space (SLS) for Economics to oversee lesson and resource production and has also co-led the blended learning networked learning community for JC teachers to infuse blended learning and e-pedagogies in the classroom. She has shared at various conferences locally and internationally on innovative ICT-based pedagogical practices. She has co-authored various publications on behavioural economics, macroeconomic development and more recently on home-based learning. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Nanyang Technological University, focusing on emerging technologies and teacher professional learning. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, assessment feedback literacy and teacher professional development.
