Course Overview
This is a 101 fundamental course designed for those who want to find out more about entrepreneurship. This two-day course aims to demystify general perceptions of entrepreneurs or entrepreneurship. Using an in-house Entrepreneurial Qualities Survey, participants will gain a good self-awareness of his or her personality traits and learn how to nurture the qualities needed for entrepreneurship. This course is designed for people exploring a career transition, realising a dream to be their own boss or aspiring to start their own company.

Prof Inderjit Singh

Prof Inderjit is a rare combination of experiences, managing a multi-national company, a serial entrepreneur, angel investor and a Policy Maker. An engineer by training and having worked at Texas Instruments for 13 years, he embarked on his entrepreneurship journey at the age of 37 by starting United Test and Assembly Center (UTAC), a large semiconductor company. UTAC was listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange in 2004. He went on to start a few more companies with operations in many parts of the world, including the Silicon Valley, USA, many countries in Africa, the Indian Sub-continent, and Southeast Asia. Prof Inderjit was a Member of Parliament in Singapore from 1996 to2015 where he also served as the Chairman of for the Government Parliamentary Committee for the ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance, as well as a deputy Whip of the Government Party. As a policy maker, he played key roles in developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Singapore. Prof Inderjit is also currently an adjunct Professor at both the National University of Singapore as well as at the Nanyang Technological University. As a board member the World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF), and the President of the Global Start-up Committee of the WBAF, he is active in developing the global entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem.

2. SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits (up to S$500) to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding. This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Applications via MySkillsFuture.sg must be made within 60 days before course commencement. Please click here for more details. 3. Absentee Payroll
Companies who sponsor their employees for the course may apply for Absentee Payroll via the SkillsConnect system. For more information, please visit SkillsConnect.
4. NTU Alumni Course Credit
From 1 July 2019, NTU alumni may utilise their course credits of S$1,600.00 to co-pay up to 50% of the nett fee (exclusive of prevailing GST) payable for courses with starting date from 1 July 2019 onwards. There will be no administrative fee involved for the use of NTU Alumni Course Credits on courses with starting date from 1 July 2019 onwards. For more information, please visit here.
An online assessment will be conducted at the end of the course.
