Undergraduate Scholarships

Several scholarship programmes are available to support those pursuing undergraduate studies at NTU SPMS, some of which are listed below. You can apply for these scholarships while applying for admission into one of our undergraduate programme. Other scholarship programmes, not listed here, may require separate applications.

The Nanyang Scholarship is awarded to students who have excelled academically, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and possess outstanding co-curricular records. It covers full tuition fees, after the Ministry of Education (MOE) Tuition Grant. In addition, the scholarship provides a stipend, as well as expenses for accommodations and travel. Recipients who are Singapore PRs or international students are subject to a three-year service obligation under the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme.

The CN Yang Scholarship Programme is aimed at students with a passion for research in science and engineering. Recipients undergo a special multi-disciplinary scientific curriculum, and are given expanded opportunities to participate in undergraduate research and overseas learning trips. They also receive financial support equivalent to the Nanyang Scholarship.

The NTU Science Scholarship is offered by the College of Science to outstanding students to pursue undergraduate programmes in one of its constituent schools, including SPMS. The Scholarship provides full coverage of tuition fees (after the Tuition Grant) for four years, and an explorer grant to support participation in an overseas learning programme. There is no bond aside from the service obligation associated with the Tuition Grant (which applies to Singapore PRs and international students).

The Kiang Ai Kim Scholarship and SPMS Advancement Fund Scholarship are awarded by the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) to outstanding freshmen pursuing full-time undergraduate programmes at SPMS. The Scholarships offer support equivalent to the NTU Science Scholarship: full coverage of tuition fees (after the Tuition Grant) for four years, and an explorer grant to support participation in an overseas learning programme. There is no bond aside from the service obligation associated with the Tuition Grant (which applies to Singapore PRs and international students).
