COST OF LIVING

Studying abroad is an exciting experience indeed. Proper financial planning and management are essential to ensure a successful and stress-free academic experience. In addition to the Tuition fees and Miscellaneous fees, the expected living costs you will incur depends on your lifestyle. The amount shown here is an estimate based on the feedback gathered from current students and graduates.

TUITION FEES

Our five MSc programmes (Communications Engineering, Computer Control & Automation, Electronics, Power Engineering and Signal Processing and Machine Learning) are self-financed programmes. 

Students of these programmes are not eligible for Service Obligation/ MOE Subsidies. 

The tuition fees per module (3 AUs) and per dissertation (6 AUs) for admission from AY2024 August onwards are shown in the table as follows:

SC/SPR Incentive
All Singapore Citizens (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) who enrol in self-funded master’s by coursework
programmes at NTU will enjoy a $5,000 subsidy, with those in need of financial aid receiving up to $10,000.

NTU Alumni Incentive
All NTU Alumni will receive an additional 10% tuition fee rebate.


*Inclusive of Goods and Service Tax (GST)

A Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 9% is levied on the import of goods, as well as nearly all supplies of goods and services in Singapore starting 1 Jan 2024.

^The tuition fee for the Dissertation (6 AUs) will be twice of each module fee.

All fees listed above are in Singapore dollars (S$) and subject to annual revision by the school. The tuition fee is exclusive of living expenses and miscellaneous student fees.

The deposit fee of S$5,000 is payable upon acceptance of the offer and is non-refundable. It will be deducted from the full tuition fee.

 

MSc Programme Financial Support

All Singapore Citizens (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) who enrol in self-funded master’s by coursework programmes at NTU will enjoy a $5,000 subsidy, with those in need of financial aid receiving up to $10,000.
All NTU Alumni will receive an additional 10% tuition fee rebate.

The EEE PTAS is open to self-financed MSc students, and allows a student to carry out academic support duties such as UG teaching/lab supervision/research and laboratory work including data analysis and experiments. Additionally, the student will assist the school in organising outreach programmes, student activities, career fairs, talks as well as enrichment programmes to enhance our students’ learning experiences.

Students interested in applying should look out for announcements by APO (Academic Programme Office).

Work Study Scheme (WSS) is a University-approved training programme for NTU students.  It is part of experiential learning where students learn about work and working life.  Opportunities are provided for students in a wide-range of areas such as finance, marketing, administrative and events management, planning and organisation, library management, information system management, statistical analysis, multi-media production, customer service, etc.

The Scholarships are targeted to Vietnamese students who are interested in pursuing a full-time PhD or Master’s degree (by research or coursework) at NTU in the areas of computer science and information system, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, biological sciences, and materials science. Applicants who fulfil NTU’s admission requirements will be interviewed by a joint NTU and VinGroup selection committee prior to admission.
