The Flamingo

​​​​​​​The Flamingo is a dance programme supported by the North Hill and Yunnan RE cluster. This is normally conducted during the December school vacation and appeals strongly to a large segment of the hall residents in NTU. Dance is a critical medium in our expression of ideas and through this medium, we are able to demonstrate the passion to excel through the heart (passion) as well as the mind (technique or form). We intend to make use of this RE programme to bring across to the students the need to pursue their ideals. This dance programme is conducted over 2 to 3 days in December with participation from all the 6 halls in the North Hill and Yunnan cluster. It covers the foundation of music and art as a form of expression. The practical sessions cover a selection of dance forms and a discussion of the cultural and ethnic influences on these dance forms.
