The Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN) is excited to bring you "Open Conversation," a dynamic seminar series on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in medical research and healthcare. Designed to empower the patient engagement community to shape patient involvement and engagement, OPEN Conversation provide an opportunity for discussion, collaboration and networking.
This year, we kick off with an exclusive in-person seminar, “Patient Partners as Agents of Change”, featuring a Clinician Scientist and truly inspiring patient partners from the UK and Singapore on the impact of patient involvement in genomic medicine. We are pleased to co-organise this seminar with the College of Clinician Scientists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
The Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN) is pleased to invite you to a Tea Session with Kristin Anthony, President of the PTEN (Hematoma Tumour Syndrome) Foundation.
Topic: Patient Advocacy: From Support Group to Foundation and Beyond
At this session, you will learn:
- How the PTEN Foundation developed from a patient support group to a patient-run research organization.
- How the foundation is leading PTEN research.
- How patients and families in the PTEN Community are involved in research for PTEN Syndromes.

OPEN Voices Patient Partners had an engaging chat with Vicky Grandon, a patient partner with hospitals and research teams in the UK. Attendees discussed the joys and challenges of being a patient partner and how to collaborate with researchers to enrich medical science. This is the first “Tea with…” series organised by OPEN.
