Internship

Objectives of Internship:

Students must successfully complete an internship in their third year before graduation. The internship is considered as a partial fulfillment of the Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) degree programme. Students have the opportunity to examine a plethora of available employers and select from among them.

The purpose of internship is to supplement NTU’s in-house practical professional training and to instill students the right work attitude and professionalism so that they could become effective and productive to their respective organisations much sooner than is usual for fresh graduates.

Organisations participating in the internship programme are required to provide a structured internship programme with the emphasis on applications, management and hands-on experience for the students to:

  1. apply knowledge learnt
  2. acquire practical skills
  3. strengthen work values
  4. gain interpersonal skills
The Career & Attachment Office (CAO) works closely to manage the internship programme.

Students who wish to consider entrepreneurship as an alternative internship option, you may apply for Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP) offer by NTUitive.
