Heat Treatment

Welcome to the Heat Treatment Laboratory. This laboratory is dedicated to facilitating different heat treatment experiments on a range of materials including metals, metalloids, alloys, and ceramics. An array of furnaces and ovens are accessible in the laboratory that attend to various heat treatment applications either under vacuum or under an inert gas atmosphere. Our box/muffle furnaces and tube furnaces with the ability of heating and maintaining a temperature up to 1650 °C cater to various high temperature experiments such as annealing, hardening, tempering, sintering etc. Ovens on the contrary, are primarily intended for procedures demanding a lower temperature range (ambient to 400 °C).
