Course Description:
This course
presents both the theoretical foundations of information methods used in
modern molecular biology and practical training in use of these
methods. The concepts of information-driven biological sciences, a
diversity of biological databases and vast online available
data-analysing software, as well as systematic point of view on
biological processes, are introduced. The biostatistics component gives
an overview of the importance of biostatistics in the scientific design
of experiments and in the objective collection, processing, analysis,
interpretation and communication of scientific investigations in the
life sciences.
