Coupled Human and Natural Systems

Course Description:
This course covers the key concepts for understanding coupled human and natural
systems with two weeks spent each on the social sciences and natural
sciences. Next, integrative socio-ecological approaches will be
explored, and students will consider the strengths and weaknesses of
these approaches. Lessons will be grounded in real-world case studies.
Students will use interdisciplinary approaches for their final projects.
