Tan Swan Beng Professorship in Construction Industry

The Tan Swan Beng Professorship in Construction Industry was established in 1998 by a fundraising committee with 270 donors. With 1:1 government matching fund, a total capital of S$2,578,741.74 was raised.

The fund will be used for:
  • Grants for Renaissance Engineering Programme (REP) students specialising in Civil Engineering.
  • Funding Visiting Professorship activities, including lectures, talks, symposiums, workshops, and appointments of professors or industry experts in Civil Engineering and Construction, including green technology/infrastructure and sustainable earth construction technology.
