Ceramics Workshop

Time: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (inclusive of a tour of Dragon Kiln)
Venue: Workshop space at the Dragon Kiln, Jalan Bahar

Come and visit the Dragon Kiln, situated at Jalan Bahar (nearby NTU), to learn and create your own unique ceramics pieces. Join the tour and see last few surviving kilns in Singapore. Following the tour, the workshop will be conducted onsite. Participants will learn more about the overview of the ceramics industry in Singapore and the essential skills of clay-making. Experience the rustic-but-rare processes of clay-making at an aged-old kiln, a place rich in history and heritage which had witnessed many works created and fired onsite by renowned artists in Singapore.

As part of NTU Museum's exhibitions and programmes series, an on-campus exhibition was organised to feature the participants' work done and it coincided with the international symposium on ceramics organised by NTU in March 2013.
