An Introduction to Silkscreen Printing

According to most sources, the earliest and most recognisable form of silkscreen printing first appeared in China during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). This method of creating designs on a stencil and then transferring onto fabrics was later adapted and refined by artisans in Japan before becoming popular in Western Europe.

Join us on Wednesday, 28 February 2018 for an art-filled session of silkscreen printing with artist and printmaker, Joseph Chiang. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the processes of silkscreen printing and you will get to bring home your personalised silkscreened tote bag, which you may also give to someone special!
