Prof Berinderjeet Kaur and Assoc Prof Leong Yew Hoong to Publish Book on Mathematics Instructional Practices

Prof Berinderjeet Kaur and Assoc Prof Leong Yew Hoong from the Mathematics & Mathematics Education Academic Group in NIE have edited a book on Mathematics Instructional Practices in Singapore Secondary Schools. The book provides a detailed look into the “how” and “what” of mathematics education in Singapore, presenting multiple aspects of mathematics instruction, including specific case studies and offering an evidence-based pedagogy that mathematics teachers in Singapore secondary schools have developed and used.

Mathematics Instructional Practices in Singapore Secondary Schools is part of the Mathematics Education—An Asian Perspective Series and is based on Prof Kaur and Assoc Prof Leong’s research project “A study of the enacted school mathematics curriculum”.
