Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony (TIC) For The Class Of 2023
1. The National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NIE NTU), Singapore celebrates the graduation of 851 new and returning teachers joining the Singapore education service on 7 July 2023.
2. Second Minister for Education, Dr Maliki Osman, will grace Ceremony 1 of the TIC on Friday, 7 July 2023 at 9.30am. Mr Wong Siew Hoong, Deputy Chair, NIE Council will grace Ceremony 2 of the TIC on Friday, 7 July 2023 at 2.30pm.
3. The NIE Bachelor of Arts (Education) and Bachelor of Science (Education) programmes have been repositioned as Double Major Programmes. The Class of 2023 will be the inaugural cohort to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in an Academic Discipline and in Education. The new programme titles reflect both the academic content specialisation and education specialisation. Graduates obtain teaching accreditation and are prepared for further studies in both the Academic Discipline and in Education.
4. Of the 48 award recipients, nine will be receiving multiple awards. They are:
