The Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) (DRCS) at LKCMedicine has introduced a suite of three mobile apps tailored specifically for the Asian population to mitigate the effects of conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. These apps were launched during LKCMedicine’s second annual Cognition Awareness Day, organised by DRCS. The second edition of the event focused on digital tools and technology to enhance cognitive health.

Designed to empower individuals with dementia or those at risk, the apps offer an easy and accessible way to manage cognitive health. They support early detection, risk prediction, diagnostic assistance, and intervention for cognitive decline.

Researchers, doctors, and hospitals are leveraging technology for early intervention and management. By providing a user-friendly self-assessment and predictive tool for the community, DRCS aims to encourage proactive cognitive health management and improve dementia outcomes in Singapore.

The suite of apps includes features designed for ease of use, ensuring that they are accessible to seniors who may not be technologically savvy. Each app targets distinct areas of cognitive health, offering features such as memory exercises, mood tracking, and social engagement activities to create an interactive and supportive experience.

The DRCS seeks to foster a sustainable routine by encouraging consistent use of these tools, enabling users to track their cognitive health while staying motivated to remain active and engaged with their community.

Through collaborations with partners like the National Healthcare Group, Fei Yue Community Services, Club HEAL, and the Lien Foundation, DRCS is taking a holistic approach to improving cognitive health and mental wellbeing among the elderly in Singapore.
