Dr Wong Lung Hsiang speaks at 8 different events on the integration of AI in education

Dr Wong Lung Hsiang, Senior Education Research Scientist and the co-Programme Director of the Learning Sciences and Innovation Research Programme at the Centre of Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), was invited to speak on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education at the following events.  He has been at the forefront of the conversation on the integration of AI in education and his extensive series of talks and media engagements highlight his pivotal role in shaping this transformative dialogue.

1. Invited Speaker on ChatGPT in education at a senior management meeting alongside Assoc Prof Chen Wenli, Head of the Learning Sciences and Assessment Academic Group (LSA AG), organised by the SAFTI Military Institute on 21 April 2023
2. Invited Speaker on ChatGPT in education at Whitley Secondary School on 19 May 2023
3. Facilitated an online workshop on ChatGPT in education for student teachers at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NIE NTU) on 23 May 2023
4. Invited Speaker on ChatGPT in education to Heads of Department (HODs) from 12 schools within School Cluster S7 on 7 July 2023
5. Conducted two workshops on ICT in pre-school Chinese education including the use of ChatGPT at the annual Seminar for Preschool Chinese Language Teachers organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) on 8 July 2023
6. Invited speaker on “ChatGPT’s Enlightenment on Second Language Teaching” which focused on the role of ChatGPT in Chinese language education at the 2023 MOE-NIE-SEAB-SCCL Sharing Forum, an annual four-party forum engaging key Chinese Language policymakers, assessors, teacher educators, and researchers from the Mother Tongue Languages Branch (MTLB), Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), NIE on 26 July 2023
7. Invited Speaker alongside Mr Jonathan Sim of the National University of Singapore on “Understanding ChatGPT and other A.I. Tools” at the Source, Understand, Research, Evaluate (S.U.R.E.) program on information literacy, organised by the National Library Board (NLB) on 17 August 2023
8. Invited Keynote Speaker on “Generative AI in Mother Tongue Language Learning” at the Senior Management Retreat of the MTLB, Curriculum Planning and Development Division (CPDD), Ministry of Education (MOE) on 11 October 2023
