Please share with us your professional life’s journey and at which point in your career did you aspire to pursue this FlexiMasters?

Transitioning from a quality assurance position to my current role in research and development necessitates a significant learning and adaptation process. Thankfully, during the start of my career transition, I discovered FlexiMasters, a remarkable opportunity that empowered me to reskill, upgrade, and deepen my knowledge in materials science and engineering. What set FlexiMasters apart was its unique feature that allowed us to transfer academic credits earned towards a relevant Master's degree, opening up an entirely novel pathway that I believe has remained largely undiscovered. This motivated me to embark on my enriching journey with PaCE@NTU.

What were the challenges you faced when trying to complete this FlexiMasters?

I faced challenges during my learning journey, particularly in regards to the rigorous nature of the courses and the need for coordination with other full-time graduate students and working professionals for group projects. However, it is worth noting that the courses offered were of top-notch quality, and the high level of expectations has proven advantageous for my personal growth. After completing the FlexiMasters, I am now more prepared for the Master's programme in which I am currently enrolled.

Which aspect of this FlexiMasters did you like the most?

One aspect of FlexiMasters that I appreciated the most was its flexible learning pathway that allowed me to better manage my time in juggling a full-time job while pursuing online courses. The wide range of online courses available ensured that I was not confined to a limited selection and could explore topics of my interest. Furthermore, the friendships and connections that I gained through working together in group assignments were invaluable to me as well.

Has this FlexiMasters benefitted you in your career development?

Undoubtedly, this FlexiMasters has benefitted my career development tremendously. The courses provided me with valuable knowledge and information that helped me to gain better understanding of my work. Moreover, I was also able to refine my critical thinking and problem-solving skills which are highly valuable and transferable across any workplace and industries.
