Dean's Office
Dean's Office supports the OfR management’s internal and external communications and engagement efforts by effectively communicating OfR’s strategic positioning and policies to MOE, NIE, and other stakeholders. It assists the management to strategise and plan for important milestones and deliverables, provides secretarial support to the management, and prepares presentation materials for key meetings, conferences, symposiums and/or study trips. It also assists the management to review and draft position papers to NIE, NTU and MOE. Dean's Office also monitors and tracks the corporate KPIs for the OfR tranche reporting and future tranche planning, to ensure OfR’s performance targets are well-met and fulfil the strategic aims of the department.

Research Support & Grant Management Unit
RSGM unit manages the pre- and post-award administration of internal and external research grants. The unit also supports capacity building at NIE by fostering the development of high-quality grant applications, promoting a vibrant research culture, and facilitating networking opportunities. Examples of support that the unit provides to the NIE faculty in their grant applications and administration include:
- Notification of internal and external grant opportunities
- Coordination internal and external grant applications
- Advice on proposed grant budgets
- Supporting the internal review process in NIE
- Administration post-grant activities such as grant variations and extension, progress reporting
- Sharing updates on funding agencies’ requirements and guidelines as and when needed

Human Resource & Finance Unit
The Human Resource and Finance unit oversees the control and compliance of HR & Finance policies and processes for project and non-project related matters. It also supports the General Office administration and provides PA support to the OfR management.

Research Practice Policy Group (RPPG)
The Research Practice Policy Group supports institutional efforts to create opportunities for stakeholders to inform, discuss, create and participate in education research and innovation. To achieve this, we produce a suite of publications and spearhead outreach initiatives to engage educational stakeholders and increase the awareness and visibility of NIE’s standing as a leading international research institution.
