Filament
Filament is an annual showcase that celebrates films produced by the graduating cohort of the school. Industry professionals and the public are invited to the showcase, marking the students' first step into the world of professional filmmaking. Each film marks the culmination of the broadcast students' education at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, a four year journey that has brought what they have learnt from working together to fruition.
2020 marks the 14th edition of Filament. In these extraordinary times, Filament goes online for the first time, streaming our students' works to our audience in the comfort of their homes.
A total of 9 shorts — 6 documentaries and 3 fiction narratives — are presented this year. Each film is not just the fruit of a year-long journey; it is also a promising step into the world of professional filmmaking as students conclude their training and education at WKWSCI.
