Language and Society Research Group

The Language and Society Research Group at ELL is a community of researchers and enthusiasts of all things related to language and its functions in society. It is the intrinsic symbiotic relationship of language and society that we are fascinated to explore and investigate further, particularly in today’s connected world. We aim to be a team that welcomes individuality and niche expertise, while celebrating and cultivating shared interests in studying the interface of language and social behaviours. Through collaboration and discussions, we aim to foster practices of embracing multifaceted perspectives, nurturing innovative development, and forging a collective vision of progress and discovery.
