Mdm Christine Chua is an experienced educator with over ten years of service in MOE primary schools, where she has held a key leadership position. Mdm Chua is well-versed in the content knowledge of Chinese language subjects. Her strong command of the language and its instructional requirements is evident in her teaching of Standard Chinese Language, Higher Chinese Language, and Character and Citizenship Education within the Mother Tongue Language curriculum. Mdm Chua uses learner-centred approaches to ensure that her lessons are accessible to students with diverse abilities and learning styles. This commitment to responsive teaching has helped her create an inclusive environment where all students can succeed.
Alongside her teaching responsibilities, Mdm Chua has coordinated various projects and National Education Commemorative Days since 2017. In her role within Citizenship Education, she developed a deep understanding of the curriculum's goals, thereby fostering greater alignment across the Mother Tongue Language department. Mdm Chua has also played a key role in shaping Citizenship Education initiatives. She made significant contributions to the student leadership program by developing and implementing a comprehensive approach inspired by The Leadership Challenge Model by James Kouzes and Barry Posner.
