Mdm Christine Chua is an outstanding educator with a passion for teaching and a wealth of experience in primary education. With a teaching career spanning over a decade, Mdm Christine Chua has made a significant impact in the education sector, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to student development and academic success.

Mdm Christine Chua spent six years at Telok Kurau Primary School, where she served as Subject Head of Citizenship Education. Her portfolio included the development of student leadership programme where she conceptualised and developed the entire programme, drawing inspiration from The Leadership Challenge Model by James Kouzes and Barry Posner, which aimed to empower students to become responsible and effective leaders. She was also responsible for teaching Higher Chinese Language and Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) to students, with a strong focus on differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students of varying abilities and learning styles.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mdm Christine Chua was also the CCE Core Event Coordinator from 2017 to 2018, leading and managing several projects and National Education Commemorative Days for the school. One of her most notable achievements was as the lead actress in the 90th Anniversary Musical of Telok Kurau Primary School titled 'My Telok Kurau, My Home'. The Straits Times featured the musical, highlighting the behind-the-scenes story of how the production came together. The 90th Anniversary musical was held on 15 September 2016 in Mediacorp theatre.

During her tenure as Subject Head of Citizenship Education, Mdm Christine Chua demonstrated a deep understanding of the scope of the CCE curriculum and its intended learning outcomes, which allowed her to achieve greater synergy and alignment across Mother Tongue Languages. As a CCE Committee Member at Anglo Chinese School Junior from 2012 to 2015, Mdm Chua has accumulated extensive experience in managing projects and core events, further highlighting her leadership and organizational skills.

Mdm Christine Chua's tireless dedication to teaching and exceptional accomplishments have left an indelible mark on the students, parents, and colleagues she has worked with. She sets the bar high for fellow educators and her example serves as a beacon of hope for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the education sector.
