As current and future educators, NIE’s undergraduate English Language and Literature teacher preparation programme will provide you with in-depth knowledge on a wide range of linguistic and literary topics, such as sociolinguistics, language acquisition, literary theory, and critical theory. Embracing interdisciplinarity, our courses feature perspectives from diverse fields, such as Sociology and Cultural Studies, placing Singapore at the crossroads of global and local confluences that shape how the English language is attuned to cosmopolitan moments of textual interactions and societal melding.
