Campus Art Trail Launch
NTU Museum marked its 10th anniversary celebration in 2018 with an art trail that highlights the vibrant arts and culture found across this beautiful campus, giving access and making art appreciation and integral part of campus life and community engagement.
A first for a Singaporean university, the Campus Art Trail Map guides visitors and members of the NTU community to see over 40 diverse artworks, from artist concepts developed from paper into reality by students and faculty to state-of-the-art buildings designed by world famous architects and state-gazetted heritage buildings.
Made-In-NTU Exhibition
As a recognition of the efforts and contributions of the NTU community, an exhibition titled Made-In-NTU featured the behind-the-scenes work processes of these artworks, which also featured more artworks by the campus community gathered through a recent open call for an art competition.
Campus Art Trail Guided Tours
After the launch of the art trail, visitors could sign up for guided tours led by volunteers. the highlights of this art trail are the unique interdisciplinary public art created by many talents at NTU. exploring more than 15 beautiful interdisciplinary public artworks around around North Spine, The Arc, Nanyang Auditorium and Experimental Medicine Building. The volunteer guides shared interesting facts about the artworks and artists as well as the fabrication processes of the artworks.
Collaterals
A virtual map was created to help visitors navigate the campus, and the artworks were documented into a publication for those keen to learn more about the stories behind the art and artists.
