PGDE Secondary (English Literature) Programme
The PGDE Literature programme offers a comprehensive overview of what it means to teach the subject in 21st century Singapore secondary classrooms. We explore how Literature provides creative, communicative, and analytical experiences that are vital to a student’s cognitive, aesthetic, ethical, and imaginative development. Over three core modules, the programme provides an understanding of the aims of the local Literature curriculum as well as global trends and issues in Literature curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices. Students will develop a holistic understanding of what is involved in the teaching, planning and implementation of an effective Literature programme.
