Runners put their Best Foot Forward for good cause

NTU Singapore’s fundraising run, Best Foot Forward, got off on the right foot with a physical run on Friday involving over 300 runners on campus.

More than 900 runners have signed up for the virtual run, which ends on 31 March.

The Best Foot Forward virtual run brings together the OneNTU community all around the world to raise S$200,000 for worthy causes.

Participants pledge a donation of at least $30 ($15 for students) and can also start their own peer-to-peer fundraising campaign.

All donations from participants go directly towards their chosen cause – the NTU Bursary Fund, School Advancement Funds or NTU Wellbeing Fund.

The OneNTU community aims to clock over 40,000km this year as they keep fit, stay healthy, and bond with each other.

Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development Mr Eric Chua, an NTU alumnus, flagged off the physical run at NTU’s sports complex The Wave on Friday evening.

Mr Chua joined runners in the 3km recreational run together with Ms Tan Aik Na, NTU Senior Vice President (Administration), while Mr Goh Sin Teck, NTU Trustee and Editor, Lianhe Zaobao, took part in the 7km competitive run.

Best Foot Forward 2023 kicks off the second year of We Belong, the University’s flagship fundraising and volunteering campaign launched during NTU’s 30th anniversary last year.
