Besides the expertise and mentorship by Garage Residential Mentors, Garage@CresPion provides a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment, all of which can be fully accessed by Garage students upon proper training provided by our mentors. Of particular note is our Fortus 3D Printer which is able to print intricate and complicated designs with complex geometries, allowing for rapid prototyping. Guidance will be provided for the design software and 3D printing tips will be shared! A non-exhaustive list of available equipment and their brief descriptions can be found under “Mechanical Tools” and “Electrical Tools”.
Capable handheld variable speed rotary tools that come with a wide range of accessories and attachments to satisfy your mechanical prototyping needs. A stand is available for more precise machining.
Two 3D printers for your rapid prototyping needs. Capable of building difficult to machine structures within hours in durable plastic. The user-friendly software interface allows you to get started with minimal training, and to import models built with familiar software tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Makes attaching anything from paper to wood as easy as pressing a trigger.
Allows you to stick everything together in short order.
