Uncomfortable Conversations
Uncomfortable Conversations is a new initiative meant for NTU faculty to come together to examine current educational paradigms and practices, discuss topics of concern, and share novel ideas. This provides a platform for collective reflection on critical teaching and learning issues which may spur faculty to explore new approaches in their various contexts or collaborate on policy proposals.
These 2-hour in-person sessions will be scheduled once every 3 to 4 months, comprising 10 to 20 participants. Each session and the proposed topic will be advertised to faculty via email. Upon successful registration, participants will be given a short background reading to familiarize themselves with the issue. These sessions will be facilitated by faculty developers from the Centre for Teaching and Learning Pedagogy (CTLP) and participants are expected to actively share their perspectives.
Participants who wish to offer a short 5 to 10-minute presentation may contact the team at [email protected]. Participants may also contribute possible topics for future sessions.
